Wedding in Ticino

L&F are a young, cheerful and in love couple.
United and unique, in their differences: strong, determined and perfectionist he; refined and beautiful in her semplicity she. After the church function, their wish was to celebrate the yes day in an italian venue. After, the pandemic restriction had brought them to choose – a not less magical and unique – wedding in Ticino.

And what a wedding: a party as joyful and romantic as the bride and the groom,enlivened by 150 guests! For the venue, the bride immediately expressed a wish: it was the Vecchio Fienile in Magadino the perfect place to celebrate the most beautiful day. A risky choice, which I would peraphs have ruled out for fear of not being able to accomodate all the guests inside the venue in case of rain. But, despite some hesitation even from the groom, love won in the end. And wedding at the old barn it is, for L&F.

My big challenge was to be able to arrange the furniture elements within a small space in relation to the number of the guest, without the environment being cramped or uncomfortable. The initial plan was to hold the dinner in standing mode, with seating for everyone divided into different types of tables and sofas, in the big barn’s garden. The colours of the decor should have ranged between white and green, with illuminations that would have made the atmosphere incredibly romantic during the dinner, orchestrated by Carlo Stroppini‘s catering.

But, on that day, the 2020 has chosen to give us many surprises! Heavy rain and freezing wind, flooding, landslides and blocked roads kept each of us with bated breath for hours. But love always win, it doesn’t know th word impossible . So, thanks to the invaluable support of my team, including Dahra Living, we quickly managed to create an evocative setting inside the barn, sheltered from the rain, and the party was simply perfect: cheerful and joyful like this newly married couple. Paolo di Falco‘s photos faithfully capture the sparkle in F’s eyes and the warm smile on L’s face, stunning in her Vog Lugano dress.

Of them I remember the extraordinary serenity and optimism, even in the face of adversity, that only great love and trust can give you. Another dream of love crowned, another story to remember.
